Normal Pregnancy Weeks

I am a flight attendant and am currently going through 18 normal pregnancy weeks My job is very physical, with much lifting, bending, pushing heavy carts, and 14-hour days. I am becoming increasingly fatigued from working my 5-day trips.

Our airline allows us to quit working as early as we need to, to start maternity leave. We just need to provide a doctor’s note for normal pregnancy weeks leave.

I am hoping to stop working at 27 weeks, because I can’t imagine being able to perform my job being that pregnant, and also it seems like a safety issue. Not to mention the radiation from high altitude frequent flying.

My question is: Is 27 normal pregnancy weeks an appropriate time to begin maternity leave in my case?
